今天要來介紹的是90年代紅遍大街小巷的新好男孩(Backstreet Boys)一首比較不紅的歌：Show 'Em (What You're Made Of)。
作為一名2000年出生的高中生我並沒有在BSB最火紅的那段時間躬逢其盛，但由於平時不聽西洋歌的螺絲媽也說她聽過這個團體，再加上網路上一些「資料」(嗯…多半是維X百科)螺絲大概能想見當時這個美國樂團火紅的程度了。現在仍不時會在餐廳、咖啡館聽到的「I Want It That Way」也是由他們所演唱的。
BSB是由A. J. McLean、Howie D. 、Nick Carter、Brian Littrell，還有曾經中途離隊的Kevin Richardson五人所組成的，剛出道時都還只是十幾歲的青少年小鮮肉(基本上就是當年的One Direction)在佛羅里達州成立的樂團。BSB的特色是在副歌部分扣人心弦的和聲。這點不論在快或慢歌上都得到體現，他們也強調，這個團體不像其他團體是「一個人唱歌，其他人跳舞」
而是「每個人都能唱，每個人都能跳」(人人有功練的概念)(所以我才說他們像1D)這首歌是他們在2013年新專，也是至今最後一張專輯In a World Like This中的單曲。對於已經不復當年勇的BSB而言這首歌並沒造成多大的迴響(在英國單曲榜單上最高只到55名)並非讓人意外的事，但在出道接近20年後仍用完美的和聲來打動人心，這就是BSB成功的地方。In a World Like This專輯中大概就是這首歌的副歌最為震撼，再配上勵志的歌詞，剛聽到時螺絲我就單曲循環了一整天
。
這首歌主要在講述的是，無論面前的阻礙再大，我們都應該要繼續靠著自己，讓所有人都看見你的能耐。
2015年BSB的紀錄片也是以Show 'Em What You're Made Of作為片名。
